Since 2020, Finance & Commerce has been recognizing outstanding women in Minnesota's construction industry by publishing a special issue of Top Women in Construction and hosting an awards event where they announce the winners. Ironmark is proud to share that our very own Controller, Sara Hordyk-Portner and Director Of Human Resources, Amanda Dudek were among the honorees of 2021.

"In our second Women in Construction awards, Finance & Commerce is proud to recognize women who have made their impact in a male-centric field," said Joel Schletter, Editor of Finance & Commerce. "From laborers to leaders, the awards recognize achievement in six categories for innovative approaches to industry development, community involvement and business integrity."

Sara Hordyk Portner was a finalist in the Professional Services category at the event. With over two decades of industry knowledge, Sara has been a tremendous leader at Ironmark. In her first year at Ironmark, Sara has transformed its financial forecasting and led a team of Project Accountants to a better work/life balance. Outside of work, Sara also volunteers with Academy of Holy Angels High School.

Amanda Dudek was a finalist in the Outstanding Industry Leadership category. Amanda brought 15+ years of Human Resources experience with her to Ironmark and has been a great addition to the management team since joining in 2019. Each year she has recruited and onboarded exceptional employees to help grow Ironmark's mission of building quality projects for discerning clients.
