Lutheran Social Services, The Center for Changing Lives Minneapolis

Center for Changing Lives

The Center for Changing Lives project will transform a 44,520-square-foot, two-story building in St. Paul into a vibrant, multi-purpose community hub led by the Lutheran Social Service nonprofit organization and supported by grant funding. Construction is scheduled to begin in Fall 2025, with completion anticipated six months later.

The full interior remodel will repurpose a former medical office into a facility offering essential services for youth and young families experiencing homelessness. The main floor will include an early learning center, childcare, transitional housing, and a resource center providing education, counseling, emotional support, and employment assistance. The second floor will offer additional transitional housing to help residents achieve long-term stability and independence.

Designed with bright, welcoming colors and located along the Green Line for convenient access, the facility will be a cornerstone resource for the surrounding community.
